Terms of Service

The ground rules for using SpeedHuddle, in plain English.

Last updated October 18, 2026

About these terms

These terms cover your use of speedhuddle.com and the SpeedHuddle platform, including every event you run or join on it. SpeedHuddle is a brand of Alish Group Inc., a Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean SpeedHuddle, and "you" means you and any organization you represent. An "organizer" is anyone who creates an event. A "guest" is anyone who joins one.

By creating an account, buying a plan, pass or credits, or joining an event, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use SpeedHuddle.

Who can use SpeedHuddle

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or join an event. If you use SpeedHuddle for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

Your account

Keep your login details private. Tell us right away at hello@speedhuddle.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Plans, credits and billing

Our plans and prices are on our pricing page. Organizations based in Canada pay in Canadian dollars (CAD), plus GST or HST. Organizations based anywhere else pay in US dollars (USD), with no GST or HST. A paid plan stays in the currency it started in until it ends.

  • Free: 1 event a month for up to 10 people.
  • Pay per event: you buy a pass for the number of attendees you expect, at C$2 (US$1.50) per attendee with a C$39 (US$29) minimum per event. You can add spots before the event starts. Passes aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • Starter and Pro: monthly or yearly subscriptions that include credits each month. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
  • Credits: one credit covers one attendee at an event up to 75 minutes long. Longer events use 2 credits per attendee. A credit is used when an attendee first joins your event.
  • Monthly credits are added at the start of each month of your plan, including on yearly plans, and don't roll over to the next month.
  • Extra credits cost C$1 (US$0.75) each, in packs of 25. They don't expire while your account is open.

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

If a subscription payment fails, we'll tell you by email. If it isn't fixed within 14 days, your account moves to the Free plan.

We may change our prices. If we do, we'll tell you before the change applies to you, and it takes effect from your next billing period.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Your plan, and its remaining credits, stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Our Refunds and cancellation policy explains how to cancel and when you can get your money back.

Selling tickets

Organizers can sell tickets to their events by connecting their own Stripe account. If you do:

  • you are the seller, and ticket money goes to your Stripe account
  • you set your ticket prices and your own refund policy for your guests, and you handle guest refunds, chargebacks and disputes, including any fees for them
  • you're responsible for any taxes on your ticket sales
  • we keep a platform fee of 2% of each ticket sale, or 0% on the Pro plan, which isn't returned when you refund a ticket, and Stripe's own processing fees also apply

Running your events

You're responsible for the events you create, including who you invite, what you tell your guests and following the laws that apply to your event. Only invite people who have agreed to hear from you, and handle your attendees' information in line with your own privacy commitments.

How everyone must behave

Everyone on SpeedHuddle, organizers and guests, must:

  • treat other people with respect
  • never harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone
  • never share sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content
  • never record, photograph or share other people's video, audio or details without their permission
  • never use SpeedHuddle to send spam or for anything illegal
  • never try to break, overload or get around the security of the platform

We may remove anyone from an event, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules.

Your information

You own the information you add to SpeedHuddle, like your event details, your logo and your attendee lists. You let us use it only to run the service for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Our platform

SpeedHuddle, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us. While you follow these terms, you may use it for your own events. Please don't copy, resell or reverse engineer it.

Availability

We work hard to keep SpeedHuddle running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. It also depends on outside services, like internet providers and live video infrastructure. If an event can't run because of a problem on our side, we'll make it right as set out in our Refunds and cancellation policy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data
  • our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the month before the claim arose

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Closing an account

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or isn't paid for, and we'll tell you why where we can.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SpeedHuddle changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. If a change affects you in a significant way, we'll tell you by email before it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in Calgary, Alberta.
