Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have, in plain English.

Who we are
SpeedHuddle is a brand of Alish Group Inc., a Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean SpeedHuddle. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit speedhuddle.com, contact us, run events as an organizer or join events as a guest, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email, phone number, organization and message.
- When you create an organizer account: your name, email, organization, login details and your event settings. For billing we receive limited details from Stripe, our payment processor, such as your card's brand and last four digits and your billing province or country.
- When you join an event as a guest: your name, job title and company, and, if you add them, your email address and LinkedIn profile link. If the organizer uses matching questions, we also collect your answers, such as your role, industry and what you're looking for.
- During an event: who was in each round, who tapped Connect, and when people joined and left.
- When you browse this site: our hosting providers keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. We also collect basic analytics about visits to this site, as explained under Cookies and analytics.
What we don't collect
We don't record video or audio. Video and audio are streamed live between the people in a room and aren't stored by us.
We never see or store full card numbers. Card details go straight to Stripe. Please don't send card numbers or other payment details by email or through our contact form.
Who sees what in an event
- Other guests see your name, job title and company in the lobby and during the rounds.
- The people you're paired with can see your LinkedIn link, if you added one.
- Your answers to matching questions are never shown to other guests.
- The organizer of an event can see and download the attendee information for that event, including matching answers and the event's results.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- run SpeedHuddle and the events on it
- reply to your messages
- handle billing and send receipts and account notices
- keep the platform safe and fix problems
We don't sell personal information. If we want to use it for anything else, we'll ask you first.
Organizers and their guests
Organizers decide who to invite to their events and what they do with their attendee lists. When you join an organizer's event, the organizer's own privacy practices also apply to how they use your information.
Service providers we rely on
We use outside providers to run SpeedHuddle: website and app hosting, live video, email delivery, analytics and payments. They handle personal information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store information outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it's subject to the laws of that country.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar browser storage that the site and platform need to work, such as remembering your place in an event or keeping you signed in.
On speedhuddle.com we also use Google Analytics. It sets cookies that show us how visitors use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors found the site and the type of device and browser used. This helps us understand what's useful and improve the site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of SpeedHuddle may not work without them.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep personal information secure, including encrypted connections and limiting access to the people who need it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, or longer if the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Under PIPEDA, Canada's private-sector privacy law, and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act where it applies, you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong or out of date
- withdraw your consent, for example to stop us contacting you
If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to keep providing the service to you. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
How to contact us
Questions about this policy or your information? Email hello@speedhuddle.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as SpeedHuddle changes. The latest version is always on this page.
