How credits work
Starter and Pro come with credits each month. One credit covers one guest at one event.
- One credit covers one guest at an event up to 75 minutes long. Longer events use 2 credits per guest.
- Event length counts the welcome room, the rounds, any sponsor round and the closing room.
- A credit is used when a guest first joins your event. People who register but don't come use nothing, and someone who rejoins the same event doesn't use another credit.
- Monthly credits arrive at the start of each month of your plan, including on yearly plans. They don't roll over to the next month.
- Extra credits cost C$1 each, in packs of 25. They don't expire while your account is open. Your monthly credits are used first, then your extra credits.
- If an event runs out of credits, new guests see a message that the event is full and you see a warning in your host room. People already in keep going.

A month on Starter
Starter gives you 100 credits each month. Say you run three 56-minute events:
- First event, 45 guests: 45 credits. 55 monthly credits left.
- Second event, 40 guests: 40 credits. 15 monthly credits left.
- Third event, 30 guests: your last 15 monthly credits, plus 15 extra credits. One pack of 25 extra credits is C$25, and the 10 you don't use stay in your account for later.
Next month, you start again with 100 monthly credits, plus your 10 extra credits.
Pay per event
No subscription. Buy a pass for the number of people you expect, at C$2 per attendee, with a C$39 minimum per event. Every core feature and your logo are included.
- More people signing up? Add spots any time before the event starts.
- Passes aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. That includes unused spots and cancelled events.
- Plans changed? Move your event to a new date before it starts, and its pass moves with it.

Selling tickets
Charge for your event on any plan. Connect your own Stripe account and guests pay you directly at checkout.
- SpeedHuddle keeps 2% of each ticket sale on Free, Pay per event and Starter, and nothing on Pro.
- Stripe's own processing fees also apply.
- For a C$20 ticket, our fee is C$0.40 on Free, Pay per event or Starter, and C$0 on Pro.
- You're the seller. You set your refund policy, handle refunds and chargebacks for your guests, and look after any taxes on your ticket sales.
- Our fee isn't returned when you refund a ticket.
Taxes, cancelling and refunds

- Taxes and currency
- Organizations in Canada pay in Canadian dollars, and we add GST or HST based on the province. Organizations outside Canada pay in US dollars, with no GST or HST.
- Renewals
- Starter and Pro renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.
- Cancel any time
- Cancel from your account settings or by email. Your plan and its remaining credits stay active until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds on plans
- Payments for Starter and Pro aren't refunded, including for unused time or unused credits, except where our refund policy or the law says otherwise. Extra credits can't be refunded once bought.
- If a payment fails
- We'll tell you by email. If it isn't fixed within 14 days, your account moves to the Free plan.
- If something goes wrong on our side
- If your event can't run because of a problem on our side, email us within 14 days. We'll refund what you paid for that event, or give back the credits it used.
Billing questions
Is there a free trial?
There's a Free plan instead, and you don't need a card to sign up. It covers 1 event a month for up to 10 people, so you can try SpeedHuddle with a small group before you pay for anything.
Do the extras cost more?
No. Extras like shuffle tables, topic tables, two-sided rounds, polls, networking bingo and the recap card work on every plan, even Free. Only the sponsor spotlight round and partner logos are part of Pro.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe's secure checkout. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can change your plan, buy extra credits and find your receipts in your dashboard.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly credits don't roll over. Extra credits do: they don't expire while your account is open.
Do no-shows use credits?
No. A credit is used only when a guest joins your event, so people who register and don't come cost nothing.
What happens if an event runs out of credits?
New guests see a message that the event is full, and you see a warning in your host room. People already in the event keep going. You can buy extra credits from your dashboard.
Which plan do I need to sell tickets?
Any plan. You connect your own Stripe account. SpeedHuddle keeps 2% of each ticket sale, or nothing on Pro, and Stripe's fees also apply.
Which currency do I pay in?
Canadian dollars if your organization is based in Canada, and US dollars everywhere else. It follows the country in your account, not the currency switch on this page.
Do you charge sales tax?
We add GST or HST for organizations in Canada, based on the province. Organizations outside Canada pay no GST or HST.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. We email a confirmation when you start a plan or buy a pass or credits, and your receipts are in your dashboard.
How do I cancel?
From your account settings, or by emailing hello@speedhuddle.com. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. See Refunds and cancellation for the details.
