Features

Everything you need to run online speed networking, from the first countdown to the last match. Set up each event step by step and add only the extras you want. Each extra comes with an example, so you know what it does before you add it.

Running the event

Set the schedule once. SpeedHuddle keeps time for every room, so you can pay attention to your guests.

Step-by-step setup
Six short steps: Basics, Timing, Who can join, Extras, Look and partners, then a Review of everything before you save. You can skip the two optional steps, and every extra comes with an example of what it does.
Timed stages
A lobby, a welcome room, your rounds and a closing room. Choose how many rounds and how long each stage runs. A default event has a 10-minute welcome room, 6 rounds of 6 minutes and a 10-minute closing room.
A one-minute warning
Everyone sees a warning a minute before each switch, so chats wrap up instead of getting cut off.
A lobby with a private camera check
A countdown, a list of who's here, and a preview of their own camera and mic that only each guest can see. Guests can pick which camera and mic to use before the event starts.
Host controls
Start the next stage now, add a minute, skip to the closing room, message everyone with a banner, remove someone or end the event. You can also visit any room during a round.
Skip a round
Guests who need a breather can sit out the next round in the lounge instead of leaving.
Your dashboard
Every event in one list, upcoming and past, with its status. Create, edit, duplicate or delete events, copy the guest link and open the host room.
Your time zone
Event times show in your organization's time zone, with the zone named.

Pairing and matching

Fair rounds, the right people, and nobody left waiting on their own.

A new partner every round
SpeedHuddle avoids repeat partners wherever it can.
Trios for odd numbers
With an odd number of guests, one room gets three people for that round. Or you join the extra guest yourself.
Matching questions
When guests join, they can answer a few optional questions about their role, their industry, their experience and what they're looking for. SpeedHuddle uses the answers to pair people up. Answers are never shown to other guests.
Shuffle tables
Run a round as small tables of 3 to 6 people instead of pairs. Tables are shuffled each table round.
Topic tables
Set the topics for a round, and each guest picks the table they want to join.
Two-sided rounds
Mentors and mentees, investors and founders, employers and candidates, or side names of your own. Guests pick a side when they join and meet people from the other side. If one side is bigger, its extra people take turns waiting in the lounge, so the waiting is shared fairly. At the end, the smaller side gets a list of people to follow up with.
Polls that shape matching
Answers to your welcome-room polls can pair people with similar answers or with different ones. You choose.
One-tap rating
After each chat, guests can tap Great, OK or Not a fit. Ratings are private. They help SpeedHuddle avoid pairing a poor fit again, and give you a quality score for the event.

Games and conversation

Ways to get people talking, and to keep them talking.

A question every round
A conversation prompt on screen in every round, so nobody has to think of an opener.
Icebreaker decks
Pick the deck your prompts come from: classic, icebreaker, deep, two truths and a lie, or would you rather.
Networking bingo
A 3 by 3 "find someone who..." card with a free centre square. Edit the squares or keep the defaults. Guests tick a square when they meet someone who fits and name who it was. When someone gets a line, you hear about it, and you can show it on the end screen.
Welcome-room polls
Ask 2 or 3 quick questions in the lobby or the welcome room. Everyone sees the results live.
"Ask me about"
Guests can add a short line to their card, up to 60 characters, so their partners know where to start.

Branding, sponsors and partners

Your event, with your name on it. Your branding shows on the join page, in the lobby, in the rooms and on the end screen.

Your logo Pay per event, Starter and Pro
Put your logo on your events instead of ours.
Your colour and welcome text Starter and Pro
Set your own colour and a welcome message for your guests.
No SpeedHuddle branding Pro
On every other plan, a small "Powered by SpeedHuddle" line shows on your event. On Pro, it's gone.
Sponsor spotlight round Pro
An optional timed stage before or after the rounds. Your sponsor's name, logo, link and a short message are shown to everyone in the main room.
Partner logos Pro
Add your partners once, with their name, logo, role and website. Then pick which ones show at each event. Guests see them in the lobby, under the video and on the end screen.

Tickets and registration

Run free events or paid ones. Either way, every guest gets in with a link.

Open events
Share your link and guests join with their name, title and company. No sign-up needed.
Registration
Turn on registration and guests sign up first with their name, email, title and company, plus their LinkedIn if they like. For a free event, each guest gets a personal join link by email right away.
Paid tickets
Connect your own Stripe account and set a ticket price for the event. Guests pay at checkout, then get their personal join link by email.
Your currency and your tax
Sell tickets in the currency your Stripe account pays you in, or pick another. If you collect sales tax, like GST, HST or VAT, add it on top of the price or include it.
Your money, your account
Ticket money goes to your Stripe account. You're the seller, so you set your own refund policy and handle refunds for your guests.
A small platform fee
SpeedHuddle keeps 2% of each ticket sale on Free, Pay per event and Starter, and nothing on Pro. Stripe's own processing fees also apply. See ticket fees.

Results

Who met, who wants to meet again, and how the event went.

Example recap card with made-up numbers.

Connect and mutual matches
Guests tap Connect during a chat. When two people both tap, it's a mutual match. At the end, each guest sees their mutual matches first, then everyone they met, and can copy or download the list.
Event results
See how many people joined, how many chats happened and how many mutual matches were made.
Attendee list
Download a spreadsheet (CSV) of your attendees with who each person met, their Connect taps and their mutual matches.
Quality score
One-tap ratings add up to a quality score for the event, so you can see how the rounds landed.
Recap card
After the event, get a shareable image in your branding with the number of guests, chats and mutual matches. Share it on LinkedIn with one tap.
Follow-up lists
After a two-sided round, the smaller side gets a list of who to follow up with. Bingo lines can show on the end screen too.
